Fletcher Building Ltd (“the Company”) today announced two appointments to its executive team. Will Wright will join in the role of Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) while Haydn Wong has been appointed as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary.
Will Wright joins Fletcher Building from Summerset Group Holdings Limited, an ASX and NZX listed retirement community developer and operator. Since July 2021, he has held the role of Chief Financial Officer and GM Corporate Services. Prior to this, he spent almost seven years at Fletcher Building including as the CFO of the Residential & Development Division, before becoming the GM Group Strategy, and then the CFO of the Building Products Division. He will commence his new role at Fletcher Building on the 18 November 2024.
Haydn Wong has been confirmed in the role of Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, having held the role in an acting capacity since April 2024. Prior to joining Fletcher Building, Haydn was a senior partner at Bell Gully, one of New Zealand’s leading corporate law firms and the long-standing solicitors to the Company. Haydn was a senior corporate partner, with an extensive track record in advising on corporate governance, M&A and securities transactions, private equity transactions and insurance and financial services. In addition, Haydn was the firm’s Managing Partner from 2018 until 2023. His appointment is effective immediately.
