Fletcher Building Limited announces that it is bringing its Laminex and Formica business together to create its Laminate & Panels division with a single global leadership structure. Mark Adamson has been appointed Chief Executive of the combined Laminates & Panels division. Mark is currently the President and CEO of the Formica Group.
The change follows a review of the structure of the current Laminate & Panels businesses, and will allow further synergies between Formica and Laminex to be pursued, particularly around product development, technology, systems and customers. The global leadership structure for the division will ensure that economies of scale and innovation capabilities are optimised across all the markets in which the division operates.
Mark Adamson was appointed President and CEO of the Formica Group in March 2008, and has driven strong growth and operational improvements to deliver improved results in recent years despite turbulent economic conditions. Mark will start transitioning into this role from 1 October 2011 and will continue to be based in Cincinnati.
David Surveyor, currently acting chief executive of The Laminex Group, has been appointed to the newly created role of Executive General Manager of The Laminex Group and will report directly to Mark Adamson.
