The Chairman of Fletcher Building, Dr Roderick Deane today announced the appointment of Geoff McGrath as a non executive director to the board of Fletcher Building. The appointment is effective from 1 July 2003. Mr McGrath, based in Brisbane, Australia has until recently been the managing director of GWA International Limited, an Australian based manufacturer and marketer of consumer and building products.
The appointment of Mr McGrath to the board completes the search for an Australian based director that was noted at the Company's annual shareholders meeting in November 2002, upon the successful completion of the Laminex transaction.
