Acting Chief Executive Distribution
Julie Jang was appointed Acting Chief Executive of the Distribution division in March 2024.
She joined Fletcher Building as a General Manager of Group Strategy & Portfolio in September 2019. She was then appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Distribution division in December 2022 – she will continue to operate in this role during her time as Acting CE.
During this time, Julie has led several significant strategic projects, including the divestment of Rocla and acquisition of Tumu Building Supplies, as well as the ongoing refresh of the Group Strategy and the Group Sustainability Strategy.
Prior to this, she worked for Bain & Company and L.E.K. Consulting in Australia, New Zealand and South Korea – working on strategic and M&A projects across various industries.
Julie holds a Master of Business Administration (Palmer Scholar) from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, United States. She also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Engineering Science and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Auckland.
