Fletcher Building announces the appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Fletcher Building Limited today announced the resignation of Gerry Bollman as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and the appointment of Bevan McKenzie as his replacement.

Gerry will leave Fletcher Building at the end of the year and will return to the USA to take up another CFO role.  He leaves after four years with Fletcher Building in New Zealand where he has been instrumental in establishing the foundations for the turnaround in the business that is currently underway.

Bevan McKenzie has been appointed to the role of CFO. Bevan has been with Fletcher Building for three years and has been the architect of the company’s strategic blueprint. He took the lead in the recent Higgins acquisition and has been overseeing its integration into the Fletcher Building Group.

Prior to joining Fletcher Building Bevan worked for Boston Consulting Group and for Roquette Freres, France where he held roles as the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, and led the Rest of the World Sales teams.

Fletcher Building chief executive officer Mark Adamson said that he wished Gerry well with his relocation and new role.

“Gerry and I have worked together for a number of years and I was delighted when he agreed to relocate to New Zealand in 2012 to lead the Strategy team.  Gerry has made a significant contribution to the transformation of Fletcher Building and he leaves behind a strong corporate strategy and significantly improved financial performance across the portfolio. He leaves with our gratitude and best wishes for his future endeavours.

“I am delighted that our focus on building internal leadership capability and talent will result in the promotion of Bevan McKenzie to the Executive Committee.  Bevan is well respected by his peers and the Board and we are delighted with this internal appointment to the CFO role,” Mr Adamson said.
