International Acclaim for Leadership and Recruitment Programmes

Already this year, Fletcher Building has won six awards for its leadership development and recruitment programmes.

The company’s Step Up training programme won second place in International Company category of the prestigious Leadership 500 Awards and at the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ) Awards Fletcher Building won five of the 13 awards presented.

The Leadership 500 awards have recognised excellence in leadership for more than 30 years and this year attracted entries from many of the world’s best known companies including Emirates Airlines, 3M and Hyundai. The 2015 awards were announced in Dallas, Texas following a key note address from Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States and founder of the Clinton Foundation.

Fletcher Building Chief People and Communications Officer, Kate Daly, said she was very proud of her award-winning team of HR professionals. “It is wonderful to have our New Zealand created programmes acknowledged as international best practice on the world stage.”

At the 2015 HRINZ Awards Fletcher Building won five awards:

Award for HR Innovation: Fletcher Building Limited (Graduate Recruitment campaign b-curious)

Award for Talent Development and Management: Fletcher Building Limited (Leaders’ Edge Programme)

HR Specialist of the Year: Jo Nicol (Fletcher Building General Manager Organisational Development)

HR Person of the Year: Jo Nicol

Christian Dahmen Memorial Award: Fletcher Building Limited (Graduate Recruitment campaign b-curious)

In 2014, Fletcher Building’s graduate recruitment campaign won the NZAGE Graduate Industry Award for Innovation and the Leaders’ Edge executive development programme won silver in the European Foundational for Management Development’s 2014 awards ahead of other heavy-weights in business education.
