Fletcher Residential Hosts Three Kings Renewal Open Day

Fletcher Residential is hosting an information day for Aucklanders interested in receiving more detail about the company’s plans for renewing the former Three Kings Quarry.

The company has lodged two private plan change applications with Auckland Council for the development of the quarry. These applications outline two ways to transform the area into a new urban precinct.

The Three Kings Renewal Open Day will be on Saturday November 1 from 12:30pm to 3:30 pm at the Fickling Centre 546 Mt Albert Rd. Company representatives will be on hand to provide information about the development and to answer questions from the public.

Steve Evans, Chief Operating Officer of Housing at Fletcher Building says the open day is an opportunity for people to gain detailed information on Fletcher’s vision for the old quarry site. “There has been a large amount of engagement already. However, the Open Day is an opportunity to engage further with the community and other interested parties.”

He said the Three Kings renewal is all about urban regeneration and creating spaces people want to live in. “In addition to helping alleviate Auckland’s need for quality housing, our preferred development option will deliver sports fields, recreational parkland and a wetland terrace for the enjoyment of residents and the surrounding community.”

In the spirit of community development and celebration, the Three Kings Renewal Open Day will have a family friendly atmosphere. There will be refreshments, entertainment and fun sports tournaments. Three Kings Football Club, Auckland Cricket and the Three Kings School are all involved in the open day.
